Sunday Night (9/28/08)

29 09 2008

so I worked this morning, Sunday morning, and it was fairly busy. I work at the Harvest Bookstore and Sunday mornings are usually busy, and today wasn’t too bad, but I’ve been home since 3:00 PM and have done nothing but watch football with my dad. The Chargers finally won!! But I’m just waiting for my g/f to come home so I can go over to her house and have some sweet BBQ food made by her dad.

Peace out, BAO

PAINTBALL!!

28 09 2008

So there is yet another paintball trip planned for the Jr. High ministry at Harvest. We will be taking about 30+ Jr. High kids with us and it’s always a good trip to go on. Not only do you get to shoot other people, you get to get shot, haha. If you would like to go, sign up with Pastor Jon at jonl@harvest.org.

Daily Devotion & Weekly Memory Verse

23 09 2008

I’ve started a dailydevotion through email. You’ll receive it every morning via email. Also, a scripture verse will be attached to the email once a week on Mondays, and that is for you to look at on your computer or even print it out and take it with you throughout the week. There will be one every week.

If you would like to sign up, email me at bormonde@me.com and simply put in the subject field, “Daily Devotion”.

Thanks, In Christ, Brad Jr.

Energy, Where Hath Thy Gone?

19 09 2008

do you like energy drinks? I would say I’m a lover of them. Well since I drive out to Murrieta every morning now, I’ve come to love them so much more. I love RedBull. It’s probably my fav. I used to like Monsters, but those are actually nasty. Rockstars are also good, but you should always be careful about which ones you get. I’m a diabetic, so I drink dietbetic coke (inside joke), but I don’t get the normal ones, I get the low carb or sugar free ones. The regular ones have sugar and the low carb ones don’t so it has more of the energy in it. Well, I think that’s how it works. I don’t know too much about them, but I’ve just recently found out that they actually, DON’T WORK!!! My mind wants to make me think they do, but my body tells me that they don’t work.

Just thought I’d let ya know what I think about them. If you know of something that works, Please, Please, let me know

Thanks, BAO

Book Recommendation

14 09 2008

So I picked up this book in the Harvest Bookstore, where I work, and I have read just the foreword and the first paragraph of the book, and already I can see that this book is going to be very good. The name of the book is called, “Living The Cross Centered Life” and it’s written by C.J. Mahaney, with the foreword written by R. Albert Mohler.
If you come stop by in the bookstore, I’ll hook you up with the copies we have left, and I can almost guarantee that you will enjoy this book. It helps give a better persepective on what the cross symbolizes and we must hold on to the truth of God sending His Son into the world to save us from our sins.
Hopefully you will take this opportunity to at least look over it and think about it, and if you want, I’ll even buy it for you.

What Am I Doing?

11 09 2008

So, as some of you may know I attend Calvary Chapel Bible College (CCBC) and I am currently in a hermeneutics class and the instructor, Joel Wingo, is having us exposit a section of Scripture, and I decided to pick Romans 6:1-14. I’m struggling a lot with what the actual message is, and I’ve been tackling it for so long on how to present the application for this section. Do you have any help you can give me? Email me at bormonde@me.com.

Blessings, Brad Jr.
