I want you, those of you who have ever read my blog, to really take the time and to think about this topic. It is an important proposition, if not the most important proposition we will be voting on this year. I say, “Yes on Prop 8.” Why do I? Let me give you a few reasons why.

1. God ordained marriage to be between one man and one woman. Throughout the Bible it shows us a few different verses on what God intends marriage to be, and also by whom. Genesis 2:24-25 says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.” ESV

2. Homosexuality is a sin. I do not hate people who practice homosexuality, I really do not. I hate the sin that they are living in because it is evil and wrong, and against what God has intended for marriage. Galatians 5:19-21 tells us, “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” ESV And 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 also tells of what will happen to those who practice such things.

3. God made men and women the way they are for a reason. God made man the way He saw fit, and as well for women. God has made men and women to be together, not for two men or two women. God made it, so it is beautiful and perfect. Genesis 1:26 explains, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man(mankind in Hebrew) in our image, after our likeness…’” God made us, therefore we are created just the way God intended. He did not make a mistake with us, He made truly for the person you and I are.

I don’t mentions these things because I hate anyone, I am simply posting this because I love them. I do not in anyway hate anyone who practice these things mentioned, I love them and I want them to find the love that I have found in Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

I mention this to all of you to simply, PRAY. We cannot change the heart of someone. Only God can do that, but the one thing we as Christians, as believers can do, is to pray and is to vote.

God is going to be glorified through all that takes place in the upcoming election, He knows who our next President is, and what exactly he will do, and we must trust in the Lord with all of our hearts.

Proverbs 3:5-6. God Bless and PRAY!!!
