Gadgets Of The Year

13 01 2009

I’m always looking at the different gadgets floating around. Since the new year is here and 2008 is over, so I wanted to see what gadget was awarded “gadget of the year”. There is a list of the top gadgets of the year, and I like what’s on the list. TIME magazine compiled this list so it is a reliable source. Check for yourself, I just thought it would be cool to post it on here for you guys if you want to see it.

here’s the link for it:

Help!

8 01 2009

hey guys I need help. I want to design a custom header image but I’m not design savvy, and I want it to look good. Anyone know of any good ideas? Or is anyone willing to submit a design they made?

If you have a custom header image you think would look good on my blog, that goes along with the color scheme then email me your design.

The header image has a few limitations as far as the size of it. The header image size has to be 780×95. That’s the only limit. If you have an image you want to submit, email a .jpg file to me at bormonde@me.com.

Thanks and God Bless. Hope to see a few designs. Later

The Dawn of A New World

6 01 2009

Macworld 2009

Well tomorrow starts a new era in the world of technology. Macworld 2009 is coming, actually starting tomorrow. I’m excited, anxious and nervous in what’s going to take place, not just for Apple (as it will be their last), but for all other organizations and companies that will gather for the epic event taking place on January 6th.

We all know that this will be Apple’s last Macworld expo and without Steve Jobs it will be interesting to see what Apple pulls out of their sleeve tomorrow. There has been rumor going around about what they might throw at us this time, but no one can be for sure, what to expect from them.

Could it be,

iPhone Nano iPhone Nano
Apple Home TheaterHome Theater?
Mac Mini Mac Pro Updates?

No one can be for certain, but I know for me, I will be watching on macrumors.com to see what will happen next.

It is the “Dawn of A New Era”!!!

Taste For Technology

Blu Ray

About a year ago I was introduced to the Blu Ray movies and I immediately fell in love with it. I have a love for technology. Almost any new product that comes out I want to know about it and I want to have it. More often than not though, I can never seem to afford it.

My girlfriends dad recently bought a PS3 (Playstation 3), and I had already known about it but never really did anything hands on with it, I had just heard about it, but as soon as he came home with it, I knew that I was going to have to have one. I saw it, we opened the box, took the system out, plugged in a few cords here, and few cords there. It took about 15 minutes to setup the whole thing.

After that, we turned it on looked on in awe and started gaming away. It was amazing! The games are in HD (high definition), and the sound is also incredible. I watched my first movie on it which happened to be a Blu ray format, and I fell in love even more. I am more amazed at the quality of the movie than I am with the games.

This last week, on Christmas day, our family got a PS3 as a family gift. My bro-in-law (Dirk) got The Dark Knight on Blu Ray from bro and that night we watched it. I turned the surround sound all the way up and we were all blown away. The Dark Knight is the best movie I have ever seen in Blu Ray. I suggest, if provided the funds, to go out and buy a PS3. Not only do you get to play amazing games, but it is also a Blu Ray Drive as well. I highly recommend one if you have a thirst for great products and amazing technology.

The Truth Defined

11 11 2008

Preach the Word

Well over here at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA, we are going to be hosting a great conference for all who have been called to the ministry or who feel the calling to go into the ministry. Pastor Greg Laurie hosted the last conference about ten years ago and finally we get to have another one. The conference is called “Preach the Word”. I think that this conference will be one of the most important conferences anyone can attend.

With so many false teachers in the church today, this conference will those who have been strayed away from the truth and to bring them back to where they belong. Many of these false teachers are leading hundreds of thousands astray, and there are many different “movements” that label themselves as Christians but are perverting the gospel so much that people do not even realize they are being led away from the truth.

Go to the website and check it out. More info is on the website and you can even sign up for the conference from there as well.

Thanks and God Bless

The Votes Are In…

6 11 2008

Well, the election is over, and Barack Obama has been elected as the next President of the United States of America. Let’s hope it stays that way, “united”! In recent news, the people have voiced their opinion about the election results and more about the propositions that did and did not pass. Mainly proposition 8, which if voted “yes” would ban same-sex marriage, and if noted “no” would allow same-sex marriage to be legal. I for one am so thankful that it did pass and that it is no longer allowed to marry someone of the same-sex. I say this, not out of hatred towards anyone, believe I promise I do not hate anyone that is homosexual, but rather I love them. I truly do and I will tell you why. I have written a paper on all things that have taken place here in the last few days, and I’m going to put it up here once I am done editing and proof-reading as well. Check back for more details.

God Bless you guys.
John 14:6

9 10 2008

I want you, those of you who have ever read my blog, to really take the time and to think about this topic. It is an important proposition, if not the most important proposition we will be voting on this year. I say, “Yes on Prop 8.” Why do I? Let me give you a few reasons why.

1. God ordained marriage to be between one man and one woman. Throughout the Bible it shows us a few different verses on what God intends marriage to be, and also by whom. Genesis 2:24-25 says, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.” ESV

2. Homosexuality is a sin. I do not hate people who practice homosexuality, I really do not. I hate the sin that they are living in because it is evil and wrong, and against what God has intended for marriage. Galatians 5:19-21 tells us, “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” ESV And 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 also tells of what will happen to those who practice such things.

3. God made men and women the way they are for a reason. God made man the way He saw fit, and as well for women. God has made men and women to be together, not for two men or two women. God made it, so it is beautiful and perfect. Genesis 1:26 explains, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man(mankind in Hebrew) in our image, after our likeness…’” God made us, therefore we are created just the way God intended. He did not make a mistake with us, He made truly for the person you and I are.

I don’t mentions these things because I hate anyone, I am simply posting this because I love them. I do not in anyway hate anyone who practice these things mentioned, I love them and I want them to find the love that I have found in Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

I mention this to all of you to simply, PRAY. We cannot change the heart of someone. Only God can do that, but the one thing we as Christians, as believers can do, is to pray and is to vote.

God is going to be glorified through all that takes place in the upcoming election, He knows who our next President is, and what exactly he will do, and we must trust in the Lord with all of our hearts.

Proverbs 3:5-6. God Bless and PRAY!!!

Sunday Night (9/28/08)

29 09 2008

so I worked this morning, Sunday morning, and it was fairly busy. I work at the Harvest Bookstore and Sunday mornings are usually busy, and today wasn’t too bad, but I’ve been home since 3:00 PM and have done nothing but watch football with my dad. The Chargers finally won!! But I’m just waiting for my g/f to come home so I can go over to her house and have some sweet BBQ food made by her dad.

Peace out, BAO
